Marathon Training for Beginner Runners

Lots of people use Marathon Training as a way to lose weight and build base fitness as well as achieving a life goal. The most popular marathons are marathons such as London, Boston and New York. Over 30,000 people enter these races every year and there is often a large waiting list for such events as people make them the focus of their entire seasons worth of training. Lots of races now have places open for charity and this enables you to gain a place for the race if you were unsuccessful in obtaining a place in the race ballot. There are lots of different ways to prepare yourself for such long distance events but the best is to follow a structured marathon training plan as this allows you to keep track of your weekly mileage and build your fitness well before race day.
